REMEDY Oak star Georgia Hall played a leading role in England’s silver medal performance at the European girls team championship in Sardinia.
The 15-year-old secured points in each round of the knockout phase as England marched into the final against France.
Hall partnered British champion Lauren Taylor to a 3 and 1 foursomes success in the 5½-1½ quarter-final win over Italy.
And the winning combination struck once again with a one-hole victory in the 5-2 semi-final win over Germany.
Hall completed a personal double by winning her singles match. She was four under par when closing out her match at the penultimate hole.
Despite losing their match in the final against France, Hall (1 up) and Taylor (at 20th) both won their contests in the afternoon singles.
England’s pursuit of gold, however, was foiled in the final match when Emily Bronte was toppled at the second extra hole as the French secured a 4-3 win.
Hall was third in the individual standings out of 120 girls from 19 countries with a 36-hole total of one under par in the qualifiers.
The championship was played in sweltering heat, with temperatures reaching 90 degrees Centigrade on the Is Molas course.
