BOSS Lee Bradbury delivered his verdict on Cherries’ trialist trio – admitting he had been impressed by their efforts so far.

Bradbury confirmed attacking midfielder Sofiane Choubani and wingers Jordace Holder-Spooner and Ivan Forbes showed enough in Tuesday’s 10-0 win at Hamworthy Recreation to remain involved with his squad during the latter stages of this week.

The three hopefuls could be handed another chance to impress in tonight’s pre-season friendly at Poole Town (7.45pm).

Former France under-20 international Choubani, who played 45 minutes at Magna Road, rattled the crossbar from long range and showed some skilful touches.

Holder-Spooner, an ex-Southampton trainee, started the second half before being replaced by Forbes on 70 minutes.

Bradbury said: “Sofiane Choubani looked a threat coming inside. He has got good feet and just needs to learn the English game a little bit.

“Jordace Holder-Spooner looked a threat with his pace – he is very quick and very powerful.

“He reminds me of Liam Feeney three or four years ago when he first came into the professional game. He is a little bit raw but there is definitely something there to work with.

“Ivan Forbes has good feet and is quick and he just needs to be around the professional environment a little bit more.”

Holder-Spooner, 18, was invited back by Cherries after impressing Bradbury during a couple of run-outs in friendlies last season.

Ex-Dorchester man Forbes is currently playing in his native Portugal, while Choubani was recommended by Mathieu Baudry’s agent Steve Wood.
