DAVEY Watt has warned his Australian team-mates to be prepared for a Russian revolution in Poland tonight.

Pirates captain Watt is understood to be in line for a call up when Australia bid to reach Saturday's World Cup final via tonight's race-off in Gorzow.

Australia team boss Craig Boyce says he will finalise his one-to-five after practice today but should Watt get the nod, he would come up against Sweden, Great Britain and Russia.

Russia reached the showdown despite failed visas and club disputes leaving them with only four riders in Event Two at King's Lynn on Monday. Grand Prix star Emil Sayfutdinov was missing, as were Artem and Grigory Laguta who could not obtain visas to enter Britain.

But Russia finished one point ahead of Czech Republic to book their place at Gorzow and could yet be bolstered by the return of the missing star trio.

Watt told the Echo: "If the Russians turn up with the team they wanted to track on Monday then they are going to be a tough team to beat.

"If they don't then they will produce a result similar to Monday. They are an unknown quantity at the moment and if they do track their strongest line-up, it will be very tough.

"But the race-off is one of the toughest meetings of the year anyway and it won't be any different this time."

Pirates' Russian star Renat Gafurov is set to feature and he told speedwaygp.com: "The team manager is thinking now and maybe he will change the team for the race-off. If Emil rides with the Laguta brothers, we have a good chance of getting in the top two."
