MIKE Chapman putted himself to the Dorset Golf and Country Club men’s championship in a sudden death play-off last weekend.
Chapman secured the title on the second extra hole with a birdie on a par five.
Triumphant Chapman, Paul Yerby and Rob Allen had all been tied on 151 gross in the 36-hole medal rounds.
Vice-captain Howard Parkin said: “It was the most thrilling finish to a club championship in all the years I have been here.”
Rob Kitson won the handicap event and scored 139 net on the back 18 to claim a hat-trick of club championship victories.
