THERE were plenty of surprises in the M A Hart Robbins Cup with Division Two outfit Magdon Scaffolding bowing out in the first round when Ensbury Park Rangers from Division Seven shaded it 3-2 after extra-time with goals from Carl Fleet (2) and Lawrence Walters.
Another Division Seven side to distinguishing themselves were Richmond Park Rangers as they toppled Division Four Harbourside 8-1 with goals from Tony Hannan-Bobe (2), Tyler Dale (2), Ryan Meads (2), Jason Morgan and Anthony Wood.
Bournemouth Borough from Division Eight tanned Division Seven high-fliers Newtown Rovers 6-1 thanks to a Joe Harris hat-trick and further goals from Ben Cooper (2) and Nathan Clear.
AFC Stourvale from Division Five edged out Division Two AFC Burton 4-2 on penalties after their second round tie had finished 6-6. Ali Garard bagged a hat-trick for Vale with the other goals coming from Peter Richmond-Cole (2) and Chris Lane.
Mark Rourke’s hat-trick for Division Two Lotus Press proved in vain as Hollies from Division Five ousted them 4-3 with goals from Tom Bending, Tom Pepper, Dave Mountford and Ryan Ashford.
Adam Eager was the four-goal hero when Dean Park Inn from Division Eight emerged 7-4 winners against New Milton Borough of Division Six with Dean Iles (2) and Aaron Atkinson also on target.
It was a similar story when Poole Bay Estates went down 5-4 to goals from Marco Mancini (2), Phil Gaduj, Dave Smith and Will Shaylor against Winkton Autos.
