ACE marksman Pete Valinski notched his 500th goal for Redhill Rangers when he settled the issue 3-2 in their Hampshire Junior A Cup first round tie with West Wight reserves. Rob Jackson and Joe Moore were the other Redhill scorers.
Queens Park Athletic were convincing 6-1 winners against Sparten thanks to Mike Thompson (2), Lloyd Pearce, Pete Light, Liam McTaggart and Ricky Powell, while Redlynch & Woodfalls United reserves squeezed through 2-1 at South Farnborough thanks to Elliott Cromarty and Andy Borland.
• Alex Rossi bagged a hat-trick when Sway hammered London Airways 11-0 in the first round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup. Ben Thomson (2), Alex Hurst (2), Danny Veal, Adam Clark, Dan Fairhurst and Lee Gilbert were also on target.
James Baker and Jon Winn grabbed two each to give Hayward Saturday Premier Division leaders Portcastrian the verdict 4-3 against Totton & Eling reserves, while Ed Ewens (2), Kabba Jack and Mustapha Jagna gave reigning champions Westover Bournemouth the upper hand 4-2 against Hythe Aztecs.
Old Oakmeadians edged out Netley Central Sports reserves 2-1 with goals from Alan Marsh and Aaron Drayton, while James Wright scored the only goal of the game when Mudeford Men’s Club subdued Lymington Town reserves.
FC Bournemouth just got the better of Four Marks 3-2 thanks to Luke McCoy (2) and Darren Saunders and Harrington United also went through after Rob Scadding (2), Sam Read, Ben Mowlam and Daniel Haynes accounted for Ringwood Town reserves 5-1.
Bournemouth Electric reserves were drawn to play the first team and the Premier Division side came out on top 4-0 thanks to Jolyan May (2), Ishmael Lamptey and Pete Howard.
