BOSS Graham Kemp was left to rue seeing Christchurch fritter two points after they had turned in what he described as their “worst display of the season” against 10-man Downton.

Priory forged into the lead thanks to James Burden’s 60th-minute effort before the Robins shook off the dismissal of substitute Harvey Coker to level through Dan Telfer 19 minutes from time.

Kemp said: “I was really disappointed and the players knew my feelings on the performance. It was down to our inability to keep clean sheets and to kill off a game. It is frustrating the number of times we have let teams back in after going 1-0 up.

“Downton are in mid-table and had been forced to make two changes inside the first 30 minutes due to injury.

“They also had a man sent off and a number of others had been booked.

“To top it all, we had taken the lead and then let it slip. In those circumstances, you have got to be extremely disappointed not to take all three points.

“We should have been good enough to beat Downton but we weren’t.

“I am not prepared to look for excuses and I don’t expect the players to do so either.”
