BATTLING Aussie Davey Watt will race on – despite X-rays yesterday revealing he had been riding with a badly broken collarbone.

The Pirates captain will lead the Dorset side in the first leg of the Elite League Knockout Cup final at Belle Vue tonight.

The 33-year-old scored paid eight and battled through the pain barrier as Pirates clinched the Elite League title in style against Eastbourne Eagles last week.

The Queenslander used his Twitter account to reveal the break yesterday but vowed to carry on riding as Poole Castle Cover seek to complete a trophy treble.

Meanwhile, Pirates will use guest Ricky Wells at reserve once again after the Kiwi starred as a guest in the league grand final.

Aces: Rory Schlein, Chris Harris, Patrick Hougaard, Charlie Gjedde, Craig Cook, Ricky Kling, Linus Eklof.

Pirates: Chris Holder, Dennis Andersson, Davey Watt, Thomas H Jonasson, Darcy Ward, Kevin Wolbert, Ricky Kling.
