SWANAGE & Wareham were left to rue a host of injuries and unavailability as they were crushed 52-10 by Buckingham in South West One East.

The Bestwall boys, unbeaten in their past three games, soon found themselves 10-0 adrift, before captain Robert Elford was carried off with a calf injury after just 15 minutes.

And although Charlie Rowberry slotted over a penalty before half-time, two converted tries for the hosts made it 24-3 at the interval.

Buckingham then increased their lead to 38-3 early in the second half before Rowberry completed a fine individual showing with a converted try to make the score 45-10 10 minutes from time.

But Swans couldn’t capitalise further and yet another converted touch down from the hosts completed the rout.
