QUANTITY and quality proved a successful combination for Poole SC as they won the Hunts Cup at their own masters open meet.
The host club had by far the biggest of the 13 teams at Ross-more and amassed 240 points, more than double the tally of second-placed Wareham Water-Rats (104).
Unofficial swimmer of the day was David Bryant, of Salisbury Stingrays, whose winning time of 32.43 in the 50-54yrs 50m breaststroke was not only the quickest in all age groups by four seconds but only 0.19sec outside the British record for the age group.
Poole won both the mixed freestyle relays with Wareham and Havant & Waterlooville sharing the medley relay titles.
