DIVISION Nine minnows Alderholt created a massive upset in the third round of the M A Hart Robbins Cup when they knocked out first division Foresters Arms 2-0 with goals from Matthew Cole and Tom Cranmer.
Last season’s beaten finalists Branksome Railway are safely through though after Dan Manuel’s hat-trick and a couple of goals from Ashley Boyt accounted for Dean Park Inn 5-0.
Sam Thompson and Darren Orchard both grabbed hat-tricks in Branksome Con’s 6-0 victory over Rias and Premier Division rivals West Moors SSC joined them in the next round after Mike Haskell (2), Marten Kelly (2), and Louis Lenthall toppled Mount 5-0.
Redhill squeezed through 3-2 against Lovett thanks to Peter Valinski (2) and Mark Frampton, while Oakdale Con had a 4-1 majority over AFC Stourvale courtesy of Ashley Cutler’s hat-trick and a goal from Peter Holbert.
Boscombe Celtic were also 4-1 winners when Danny Styles (2), Tristan Hyland and Eddie Knight put paid to KC Transport, while Ferndown Locomotive edged out Parley Sports 3-2 with goals from Simon Ward (2) and Matty Groves.
East Christchurch SSC needed extra time to get the better of New Star United 3-0 in the first round of the Mark Hart Sunday Senior Cup thanks to Alex Rossi (2) and an own goal.
