BOSS Adie Arnold admitted Verwood Town had missed a chance to move clear of Team Solent after twice surrendering the lead on Saturday.

Potters drew 2-2 with their promotion rivals after twice going ahead, first through Martin Smith and then when Jack Satterley struck on 55 minutes.

But Solent hit back – leaving Verwood one point ahead at the top of Wessex One with two games in hand.

Arnold said: “I was pleased but also felt it was two points lost.”

Ringwood Town earned a 1-0 home win over United Services Portsmouth thanks to Tom Yeats’s 24th-minute goal.

Darren Curtis’s goal saw Milton go into half-time at 1-1 but Winchester, whose star striker Jamie White scored a hat-trick, powered clear.

Hamworthy United left it late before claiming a 2-0 victory over Hayling United through late strikes from Sam Lanahan and Lee Chudy.
