BOSS Graham Kemp believes it is a fine achievement for a club of Christchurch’s stature to even be in the running for silverware this season.
Kemp’s comments come as he aims to guide Priory into a second knockout final in the space of a week.
Christchurch have already booked a place in the Russell-Cotes Cup final and they will be bidding to repeat the feat in the Wessex League Cup by seeing off Downton in a last-four clash at Hamworthy United’s County Ground tonight (7.45pm).
Kemp told the Daily Echo: “In the history of the Wessex League, Christchurch haven’t won anything.
“We have only won the fair play award and team of the month!
“But we are in one final and it would be nice to get into a second one.
“Any trophy is a good trophy. There are only three or four to go round. Only two or three teams are going to win something. To even be in a situation to win something at a club like Christchurch is a good return.”
Holders Bournemouth Poppies and Brockenhurst are the other Wessex League Cup semi-finalists.
