RAMPANT Wimborne ran riot with a storming 11-try performance to complete a 70-12 demolition job on Walcot in Southern Counties South.

Wimborne’s tries were shared between 11 different players, with Jason Llewellyn, Steve Davies, Russ Tinsdale, Steve King, Bobby Brown, Marcus Atkins, Jim Brokenshire, George Wareham, Charles Roberts, Andy Hopkins and James Mikolajewski all getting their names on the scoresheet.

Mikolajewski kicked a penalty and five conversions, while Chris Perry also slotted a conversion as Wimborne emerged as comfortable winners.

Swans led the South West One East clash 8-0 early on after a try from full-back Paul Dunsford and a Charlie Parish penalty.

Marlow struck a three-pointer of their own before Swans strengthened their position with a try from Jason Chadwick.

But the visitors hit back with tries from Ben Veitch (2) and Matt Saunders.

Swans gained the consolation prize of a losing bonus point when Parish converted Dan Collins’s late try.

But the hosts fought back and claimed victory, despite further penalties from Weeks and Charlie Cockram.

Oakmeadians suffered a 25-15 defeat at lowly Blandford while Southern Counties South leaders North Dorset remained at the summit despite losing 24-13 at title rivals Sherborne.
