MINI Moto Shea Wylie boosted his chances of qualifying for the national final after chalking up his first win of the season at Honiton.
The eight-year-old Parkstone rider won the second round Automatic 50cc race ahead of fellow Poole rider Mitchell Pocklington.
Shea, who finished fourth in the season’s curtain-raiser earlier this month, is top of the Ringwood Motocross Club standings after two events.
The top six club riders after 10 events qualify for the British Autos 50cc Championship final.
Shea won all three of his races in the youngest ‘cadets’ class (six to nine-year-olds) on the Holmsleigh Farm course at Monkton near Honiton.
The Ringwood Motocross Club’s next event is on Sunday, March 25 at Waterstone Ridge, Dorchester.
