HAVING a home Olympics is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It makes it that little bit more special and exciting. I think it will be amazing and I can’t wait.
If there is any pressure for us, it will come from within the team rather than externally.
I am sure the atmosphere, both in London and Weymouth, will be fantastic.
We have been continuing our preparations by training in Spain. We have experienced a variety of conditions in Cadiz, which is very useful looking ahead to Weymouth as there can be a lot of change in Weymouth from week to week.
We have been very lucky with the weather and have had a good variety of training partners to mix it up a bit.
We normally come out to Cadiz for two weeks at a time, with a day off in the middle.
I have been brought up around sailing and the water, so my time off is often still to do with sailing.
But during the down-time we have been able to get in Cadiz, we went to see some Flamenco dancing.
It was very impressive and it was nice to see something cultural for a change.
Thanks for following our Olympics progress and we look forward to keeping you all updated during the exciting months ahead.
