SKIPPER Scott Arnold has challenged his Wimborne Town team-mates to eclipse last season’s finishing position.
A three-match unbeaten run, including back-to-back wins, has lifted Magpies clear of relegation trouble in Division One South & West.
Wimborne are currently second from bottom, one place away from where they finished in their debut season in the Southern League.
Arnold told the club website: “We now want to catch the teams above us. Our recent games haven’t been classics but we have got points and that has done us the world of good. If we could finish higher than last season, it would be a real bonus.”
Jamal Bajandouh returns to the Magpies squad for tomorrow’s visit to play-off hopefuls Cinderford Town, 2-0 winners at Cuthbury in November (3pm).
