STRIKER Ben Claxton’s solo effort gave Electric the edge over Burton in an evenly-contested under-11 final at King George V Playing Fields.
On 16 minutes, Claxton collected the ball outside the Burton box before beating two defenders and curling his shot into the net.
Manager Mark Haynes said: “Burton were brilliant, but we clinched it with an all-round display in which every player, including subs, played a part.”
Division 11 leaders Electric can secure the title with a win over Hordle on Sunday following their 3-1 win at Redhill on Tuesday.
