NEWLY-crowned champions Bournemouth Poppies kept up an impressive run of clean sheets in a 3-0 cup win over Rossgarth.
The under-16 Division One winners clinched the silverware with three second-half goals from Adam Baxter, Niall Bolger-Wood and Kai Wilkinson.
“These are a great bunch of kids,” said manager Richard Handyside. “They’ve not conceded a goal since October 2, almost 880 minutes, which is amazing.”
Rossgarth manager Dave Canham, meanwhile, was proud of his cup underdogs.
“We kept it 0-0 for an hour which is a great achievement by the boys against such a strong team,” said Canham, whose side are fourth in Division Two.
