DORSET became the first county to strike gold in all four competitions at the regional finals in Exeter earlier this month.

Poole Grammar (KS3) and Bournemouth School for Boys (KS4) won their respective boys classes, while Bournemouth School for Girls (KS3) and Talbot Heath (KS4) clinched their girls titles.

A total of 23 schools from Dorset, Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Glouces-tershire, Somerset and Wiltshire took part in the event at the University of Exeter Sports Park.

More than 130 competitors competed in singles and doubles games throughout the day.

The four Dorset schools will be representing the South West against eight other regional winners at the Centre Parcs National Championships, Sherwood Forest, in Nottinghamshire on the weekend of April 21-22.

Poole Grammar (boys KS3): Tommy Bridger, David Higbee, Will Lemans, Callum McQueen, Rees Marden.

Bournemouth School for Girls (girls KS3): Rebeckah Blinman, Sophie Males, Sophie Sawyer, Annie Culling.

Bournemouth School for Boys (boys KS4): Rory Lindsay, John Spawton, Tom Donnelly, Nathan Hoyle.

Talbot Heath (girls KS4): Lynnlette Aung, Charlotte Murray, Anna  Battersby, Tania Spice.
