HOT-SHOT Sam Darlow delivered a cup-winning hat-trick for Branksome following a pep talk from his manager.
“I told Sam that it was his sort of game,” explained Branksome under-14 boss Peter Hughes, whose BYFL side toppled Dorset League outfit Bridport 3-1.
“He has a knack of putting the ball away and I had a feeling he would score a few in the final.”
Striker Darlow’s double gave the cup-holders a 2-0 lead at the interval before Caine Lydon reduced the deficit.
Darlow, however, went on to complete his hat-trick in the 58th minute to clinch the silverware.
Branksome are currently fourth in BYFL Division Five.
