OLGA had six members selected to represent Great Britain in the recent European Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships in St Petersburg, Russia.
The Poole-based club’s 2016 Olympic hopeful Nathan Bailey, 18, won a silver medal in the men’s synchronised event with jumping partner Luke Strong from Liverpool.
Nathan also produced a personal best performance to help him finish in 16th place individually.
It was his first senior international medal since making the step up from junior level last year, after becoming under-19 junior world champion.
Unfortunately due to injury Kayvon Arasteh had to withdraw from the competition.
Thirteen-year-old Izzy Songhurst was selected to compete in the junior girls synchronised group with partner Katy Buitendyk from City of Liverpool gymnastics club. The pair finished in 11th position.
World under-15 bronze medallist Zach Sheridan represented GB in the junior boys individual event, finishing in 24th position.
Zach, 14, was one of the youngest members of the under-18 category event.
He gained valuable experience from the event in his bid to finish in the top five in two years’ time to qualify for a GB place in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
World under-15 DMT champion Saphire Dallard, 15, and brother Jasper Dallard, 13, competed in the junior DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) events, gaining fifth and 13th positions respectively.
