THE managers and coaches from Corfe Mullen United defeated their counterparts from Broadstone 4-1 in a match to raise money for Julia’s House.
Simon Edwards scored twice for Corfe Mullen, while there was one apiece for Ben Ansell and Paul Vivian. Rob Warren responded for Broadstone.
And the mothers of the club’s youngsters were not to be left out either, with Broadstone mums winning 1-0.
The two matches have become an annual end-of-season event between the two clubs to raise money for the hospice, which is based in Corfe Mullen.
The coaches’ match is now in its seventh year, while the mothers’ game is in its third.
Last year, more than £2,500 was raised for the charity.
Corfe Mullen secretary Mike Dobson expects the money raised will exceed that total.
He added: “The two games have become more and more popular. It’s a great social event too with so many people are getting involved.”
The club would like to thank Elite Teamwear for supplying them with kit for the game.
