We want a medal at the Games – so that means we have to properly manage our time and other commitments.
We have been fairly strict on ourselves in terms of what we are and aren’t going to do and what we do and don’t want to do.
It is all part of the experience in some ways but at the end of the day, what we want is an Olympic medal.
It is easy for a lot of those other sorts of things to become a distraction and take up a lot of valuable time.
We are certainly trying to be careful to make sure that, first and foremost, we get on with the proper work.
Then, when there is time, we will try to do the best we can for our sponsors, media and everything else.
We have had this week off and it has been our last proper time off to chill out until the Games.
Every other week from now will be taken up with various activities or responsibilities here, there and everywhere.
We had been looking forward to this break and it comes before we continue building towards the Sail for Gold regatta. We will have a week of training here in Weymouth before the event starts the following week.
Annie, Kate and I look forward to keeping you updated on our progress. Thanks for your support.
