Andrew Botros struck gold three times to lead Seagulls’ medal haul in the London Beacon Open Meet at Crystal Palace.
Botros recorded PBs in all seven of his events as he took gold in the 100 and 200m backstroke (1:08.51 and 2:24.13) and 200m butterfly (2:24.71) and silver in the 100m fly (1:05.94) and 400m freestyle (4:40.14).
More importantly, the 200m fly doubled his programme for the national age group championships in July.
Grace Kingsley clocked six PBs in six swims and won gold in the 200m individual medley in 2:43.14, while Bethan O’Hara came a step closer to qualifying for her first nationals with four best times plus gold medals in the 100 and 200m backstroke (1:11.66 and 2:31.15), silver in the 50m freestyle (29.30) and bronze in the 100m free (1:02.88).
Maisie Gormley also edged closer to national times with silver in the 100 and 200m backstroke (1:11.38 and 2:31.76).
