BOSS Paul Groves has revealed he would be prepared to allow certain players to leave Cherries on loan when the window opens.
Groves today continued to play down suggestions he was set to recruit but did confirm that members of his squad could be poised to head out of the exit.
Midfield duo Steven Gregory and Donal McDermott were both linked with loan departures ahead of the transfer deadline last week.
With the window for emergency loans set to open in the next 24 hours, Groves will consider allowing players to leave Goldsands Stadium in search of regular first-team football.
Speaking at his Yeovil v Cherries pre-match press call this afternoon, he said: “We recognise there are one or two players that haven’t played too much first-team football.
“Every player should want to play so we recognise that and understand if clubs come in and want to take our players on loan, we will speak to the right ones. We will ask them if it is something they want to do.
“First and foremost, we need to make sure we look after ourselves and our own squad and are competitive going forward in terms of competition for places.”
However, Groves was quick to play down suggestions of further recruitment.
Echo sources suggest Bristol City striker Pitman is still firmly on the club’s radar and could be drafted in on loan.
Cherries have also been heavily linked with a move for ex-Dean Court midfielder Anton Robinson following speculation of a failed swoop on transfer deadline day.
When asked about Pitman, Groves said: “We have got good competition for places in those forward areas already. I am sure people will continue to link us. I’d like to get our strikers fit.”
Discussing Huddersfield Town midfielder Robinson, he added: “We have got a competitive group of players in that area and we have got enough on concentrating on ourselves.”
