ANTOINE Semenyo has become the third addition of the January transfer window at Cherries.
The attacker arrives at the Vitality Stadium from Championship side Bristol City, for a fee believed to be worth around £9million, with additions bonuses based on performance.
He has signed a deal lasting until the end of the 2026-27 season, with the club holding an option to extend the contract by a further year.
Cherries had made two previous bids for the Ghanian international, which had been turned down by the Robins, before the Dorset club returned to pursue Semenyo.
There was also reported interest from fellow Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Southampton, although there were no bids made by either club.
The 23-year-old completed a medical on Thursday ahead of the move, before the deal was finalised on Friday afternoon.
Capable of playing across the front three, this campaign Semenyo has bagged five goals in 22 second tier appearances.
After being spotted at the relatively late age of 17, Semenyo came through the ranks at Ashton Gate, spending time on loan at Bath City, Sunderland, and Newport County.
In total, he has scored 20 goals in 124 appearances for the Robins, also providing 22 assists.
His performances for Bristol City attracted the attention of Ghana, with Semenyo making his debut for the Black Stars in June against Madagascar.
He played twice at the World Cup in Qatar for Ghana, making two appearances.
In six games for the African country, he has scored once, in a friendly win over Switzerland.
With his contract originally expiring at the end of this season, Bristol City activated a clause to extend his deal until the summer of 2024, preserving his value.
Cherries chief executive Neill Blake told the club's website: "Antoine is an exciting player and one we have monitored for a while.
"He had interest from elsewhere and so we're delighted to welcome him to the club."
In a statement confirming Semenyo's departure, Bristol City shared: "Everyone associated with the club is very proud of Antoine and wishes him all the best in the next stage of his career in the Premier League."
The forward scored in his final appearance for the Robins, scoring his side's equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
