MY dear wife had to be admitted into hospital on December 19 suffering a seizure in the middle of the night. It was an awful experience.
I continue to hear stories on the television about people being dissatisfied with the care they receive while in hospital, but at Royal Bournemouth Hospital the treatment was fantastic.
During her stay she stayed on wards three, nine and 18. Some of the things those sweethearts do are beyond belief – you have to listen and watch while magic happens. How such young people learn the compassion so early amazes me.
To see how young nurses handle confused large males has to been seen to be believed. They were all exceptional – totally different faces, but nursing of the highest standard. The word faultless would cover it.
Florence Nightingale would have been amazed at the quality of care these wards provided.
Thank you Royal Bournemouth Hospital for all the care my dear wife Irene received.
She has dementia, and osteoporosis which makes it doubly difficult. She deserved the best, and best is what she got.
