REGARDING the parking at Turbary Retail Park (Letters, January 29), last February I was shopping there with my friend, who was the driver, and we did three hours and 12 minutes.
We were ticketed for £70. She phoned up and we got it for £50.
I have spoken to someone there and it has been disclosed to me that the lower end, doesn’t have a parking problem, as they are covered by a different company.
As I stated before, the signs, which we couldn’t see (as we’ve told the company) are not large and clear for all to see.
I haven’t been up recently to check on them.
With the number of shops up there, most people need longer than three hours, so why can’t we have a parking pay machine?
As long as it’s a reasonable charge, people will prefer to pay, and not have the panic of clock watching.
