THE un-named ‘disabled’ person complaining about the crossing being denied to people walking into town, to me is being very selfish.
If the work Rail Track are going to do will make the crossing safer, then it has to be done.
Yes, it is going to be a bit of a pain for a while, but so what? This person sounds to me that that they are not completely immobile by having a car, so what’s the big deal?
Only last week I was waiting with others to cross over, I noticed mummy’s little darling, inside the white line, holding onto the barrier, peering through, waiting for the train. Did mummy stop him?
No, she simply allowed him to stay there. He was too young to know about the warning bells, of the danger of the barrier going up. So, if what Network Rail is doing is or might be to safeguard the public as whole, then why the fuss?
