I totally agree with the letters written by correspondents (Echo Feb 6) regarding the sign outside St Mary’s Church in Ferndown depicting marriage between male and female.
I have some gay friends who totally agree with them as well – being quite happy with their civil partnerships.
What is Cameron trying to do? He is supposed to be the leader of our country trying desperately to get out of recession. Instead the term ‘hornets nest’ springs to mind over something that is already a law of the land and working for the vast majority. There are plenty of areas that need fast-track attention. Schools, hospitals (the NHS), more manufacturing and trade, safer streets – just to mention a few.
Get your feet on the ground Cameron and concentrate on the real issues that cause concern.
I have noticed various posters on this particular board in Ferndown, some of them spiced with humour. I take my hat off to the gentleman responsible – carry on sir!
