REGARDING the Navitus Bay windfarm consultation, we are now more than half-way through this important consultation with four more events (including today) still to go.

Sadly, there remain serious misrepresentations.

For instance, the A3 display books have some fuzzy horizons and poor images which do not show wind turbine blades, even with a magnifying glass. If good quality images had been used, the turbines would be seen at the correct, much larger, size.

Although bird surveys have been done by the wind company, they are not available at the exhibitions. Instead, the comment is made that bird abundance is low.

However, I understand that one million would fly through the site every year to the north and the same number south – hardly “low”.

Another issue is the wind company advice that feedback is sought on the details of the scheme, not on the principle of building a wind farm.

People really should give genuine feedback and say “don't build it” if they think that, and copy to MP and councillors. It is wrong to try and stop such comment.
