IAN Julian, pictured with glum face by the Castle Lane camera (‘Cameras catch 1,876 jumping traffic lights’, March 26) claims to be an extremely careful driver, yet was caught by the camera twice in one day for jumping the red light.
According to the report, that wasn't the first time.
We can all get annoyed with speed cameras from time to time and there will always be those fuming because they got caught, but surely cameras at traffic lights have a greater function?
They should be a deterrent to taking a chance and jumping a red light.
Sorry, but I don’t see a problem with them. I just wish that bikes had number plates and could also be caught!
