LAST Saturday, (Apr 13) during a weekend break to your beautiful town, I had the misfortune to need to call upon the services of the A & E unit at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
I suppose I was anticipating the kind of service we have sort of become resigned to with all the additional calls on an already overstretched NHS, but how wrong I was.
From the receptionist who took my details to the nurse who diagnosed my problem and the doctors and orderlies who treated me, I was lavished with care, courtesy and humour – yes, humour! It was certainly the tonic I needed.
Bournemouth– you have a hospital to be proud of. Make sure it keeps well! My thanks to all concerned.
