I would like to say thank you to South West Trains’ Staff.
On Saturday May 18 I travelled up to Southampton from Poole, to visit a friend suffering from cancer.
On my return to Southampton station at about 2pm, I was told there were no trains running due to no electric on the line. Buses were being used instead, but the queue was massive, so I got the free bus into the centre and spent a couple of hours with some old buddies in the legion club.
On my return to the station at about 5.30pm, the situation was still the same and a bus was just pulling out.
I was asked by a lady member of staff where I was going. She took me to a taxi with another couple, and said the driver would take us to Bournemouth Station, where we would be able to continue our journey.
So I would like to say a big thanks to everyone at South West Trains, and the taxi driver, for all their help to me, on what had been a stressful day after seeing my friend in a bad way.
