IN a few days time the Mayor of Bournemouth, Cllr Phil Stanley-Watts, will transfer his Mayoral responsibilities to Cllr Rod Cooper, but I feel I must congratulate Mayor Phil on the excellence of this work during his time in office and the manner in which he carried out his manifold duties.
These include: visiting schools, the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, the University, charity organisations, attending musical concerts, opening new retail premises, welcoming new residents to Bournemouth, greeting government visitors and international leaders from overseas.
He also made many visits to the elderly and disabled.
Yes, Mr Mayor, Phil Stanley-Watts, you have devoted much time and energy to your Mayoral responsibilities. Congratulations!
