THREE weeks ago you published a letter over my name asking if one of our local MPs could explain what they thought had been achieved by the loss of 444 UK service personnel in Afghanistan- there was no response!
On May 23 you published the reply of Martyn Underhill, Dorset’s Police and Crime Commissioner, to my earlier letter relating to concerns over private sponsorship of police expenditure. Mr Underhill blamed the way Dorset Police was unfairly funded for his decision to look to private sponsorship; so again I seek the comment of one of our local MPs – whether they agree with the statement of Mr Underhill and if they do what representations they have made to the Home Secretary?
The House of Commons will not be sitting this week; so there should be ample time for local MPs, all whom are supporters of the Coalition Government, to comment on the concerns raised in my letter and of the response Mr Underhill made to it.
