I WOULD like to express my deep appreciation to Mike Everingham and the people of Bournemouth for the recent memorial dedication at The Lansdowne to those who died during the terrible air raid of May 23, 1943.
The ceremony was beautifully arranged and very moving. I’m grateful to have been there as I know space was limited.
I came to honour my mother who died in that raid.
Thanks to all of you, and especially Mike, I was able to do so.
It meant a great deal to me. So, thank you Bournemouth, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
