THE council appears to be ignoring the state of the grass verges in the county.
I live in Ferndown and had to laugh this week when the town lengthsman planted out four flower beds on the large verge along the Wimborne Road between West Moors Road and Trickets Cross.
He told my husband that it was for Ferndown in Bloom. What a joke!
Verges in Ferndown are around a foot high and have not been cut at all this year so the flowers planted cannot be seen.
We moved here five years ago from Kent and thought how wonderful everywhere looked.
We have spoken to the council and they are supposed to be looking into it but I fear they may fall into the jungle and never be seen again.
