QUITE a few months ago, we residents of Moordown woke up to the sight of large grey concrete circular planters. These were deposited in random places along our stretch of Wimborne Road.
Had they been dropped by some low flying UFO? It's my guess they have been sent to us from Bournemouth council.
These rather ugly monstrosities have been left filled with only soil and have over time grown far from fetching straggly weeds. How lovely!
With summer fast disappearing, are we likely to see any flowers in these concrete shells?
They are somewhat depressing and some sort of floral display would be rather nice. Or are they to be left as they are: dull, empty and lifeless.
Perhaps they have been left to symbolize another poor summer. Or have they just been forgotten by our council who simply dumped them on us?
