May I remind readers that today has been designated Dorset Day.
Residents are asked to consider wearing items displaying the colours of our St Wite’s Cross; Yellow or Red or White; and perhaps to celebrate by purchasing and enjoying Dorset produce such as Blue Vinney Cheese or Watercress or having a Dorset Cream Tea!
I have flown the Dorset flag all this week. May I encourage other people to consider errecting a flag pole in their garden now that planning permission is no longer required.
Poles may be bought online quite reasonably and standard 5x3 flags for countries and counties are only about a fiver!
I am proud to be Dorset born and a member of both The Society of Dorset Men and the Flag Institute. I enjoy my daily flag ritual and have a selection of flags to ring the changes!
