Full marks to Cllr Tony Woodcock (Letters 17 June) for drawing further attention to the proposal to industrialise the coast by building a hideous collection of 200 plus massive wind turbines in the centre of the bay.
For the Chair of Agenda 21 to assert that this could be 'visually negligible' is laughable when each monster will be almost twice the height of Salisbury cathedral.
Local opposition, now growing at a rapid rate, seeks to protect this jewel in the UK coastline, less for those who currently enjoy it but more for the benefit of future generations.
Recent news media suggests that economic common sense may yet prevail and the idea will soon be confined to the dustbin of history.
