SURELY we elect councillors for their ability to make decisions on our behalf?
It seems to me that the only decisions these overpaid, featherbeaded, super-annuated jobsworths are capable of making these days is who to consult, at very high cost to ratepayers, to make decisions for them.
The latest example of the council’s profligacy with our money is the squandering of £35,000 on hiring consultants to find a finance director (and this is for a temporary one, at that)!
Is it beyond the wits of those we elect to interview and hire candidates themselves?
The increasingly casual way that those we elect fritter away our hard-earned taxes never ceases to amaze me.
But then it isn’t THEIR money, is it?
Disgusted.
