TODAY we were in our front room when a man came into our front garden from the pavement and started helping himself to our display of lillies underneath our front window. We banged on our window and he ran to join his two mates and casually walked away. We ran after him and got back the flowers which he thought he had a right to take with the can of lager in one hand.
We have notified the police on 101 but why do people think that it’s okay to trespass on private property and steal? We are fed up with the beggars along Holdenhurst Road. When refusing their request for money, you then get verbally abused, which we were told by the police is a criminal offence.
I am still working as a taxi driver at 66 and still paying all those dues associated with owning a flat when all around us we see the standard of behaviour going down and down. My wife will not go out at night as she is afraid.
I have lived in this postcode for over 28 years. Instead of hotels, now it’s flats and three bail hostels with all the drinking that goes on outside on the pavements. Why cannot a drinking ban be enforced as it is, in the Crescent area and the Pier Approach area of Bournemouth? Or is Holdenhurst Road becoming as bad as Boscombe? What gives the right to beggars, druggies and prostitutes to think it’s okay to behave in that fashion?
