I WAS grateful for Alderman Whitelegg’s letter (‘More seats are needed’, July 22) in today’s Echo. It gives me the opportunity to assure the alderman that the seafront strategy for Bournemouth does in fact have plenty of additional seating and seating areas. Currently Bournemouth seafront is looking great, the Waterfront entertainment space is nearly complete and the new prom cafe (with plenty of seating outside and in) is open for business.
I would suggest that anybody wanting a sit down on the seafront could do worse than buy a cuppa at the prom and enjoy the view that we have provided you with.
