I WOULD just like to say thanks to Poole Council for making our shopping trip to the high street on Friday July 26 a pleasure. As we came to Falkland Square we were surprised to see dozens of children of all ages sitting quietly on bean bags and watching the original movie of Grease on an enormous screen. What a brilliant idea.
Unfortunately, we had to leave after a while as the temptation to dance was too great and our poor old bones would have complained.
We are sometimes too quick to criticise our local councils but on this occasion congratulations are due to whoever thought of this. It was refreshing to see Falkland Square being put to good use.
