I AM fed up and very angry about law breaking cyclists, who insist on riding their bikes on the pavement whey they should be on the road.
In Southbourne your life is at risk. They ride their bikes at high speed nearly hitting pedestrians.
Also the cyclists run red lights at pelican crossings. When they are challenged all you get back is threats and verbal abuse, and they say it’s their human right.
They are very wrong. The Highways Act states all cyclists must ride their bike on the road unless a sign says they can on a dual path.
They are also giving law-abiding cyclists a bad name.
I have also spoken to councillors – even they do not say anything.
As an RAF NCO retired and an ex-prison support officer I have had enough.
What does it have to take before the Dorset Police do anything?
Someone being killed?
Even then I do not think they will do anything because they are not interested or bothered.
I am 64 years old and have a bad heart and a pacemaker fitted.
If I am knocked over and injured and end up in hospital very ill I will sue the cyclists and the police for compensation.
