NO ONE can deny we live in a beautiful part of the country and Poole Park plays a part in this. However, on visiting the park recently I was appalled at the amount of duck faeces on the walkways and grass.
It was causing concern for young mums pushing prams as it was getting on the wheels and also on the soles of sandals and shoes. You wouldn’t want to sit on the grass for a picnic as the area was covered in duck/geese poo. I heard obvious visitors to the park commenting on this twice whilst there.
We stop dogs going on the beach because of fouling – why do we allow it in our park?
I realise that kids enjoy feeding the ducks – but couldn’t the council either segregate the geese from the walkways or pressure wash the grass and walkways daily?
