ON Tuesday August 13, my son and his girlfriend both had their bikes stolen from the precinct in Boscombe.
They were locked together, with two locks, to the railing. It was mid-afternoon. It was done very quickly as the bikes were only out of their sight for 15 minutes. Iām writing this as a reminder to others ā it is such a big problem in Bournemouth. Do take photos of your bike, get it postcoded, and report theft to the police even if you feel there is little chance of finding your bike.
My son and his girlfriend relied on their bikes to get to work. For them, the bikes were not just a leisure activity but an essential form of transport.
Look after your bikes!
