HAVE readers noticed the increasing number of movies now being made in IMAX format?
All this year the sides of Yellow Buses have advertised the latest films at the rate of one or two a month.
They may not be masterpieces of cinematographic art but the studios must regard these blockbusters profitable enough to spend the many millions of dollars needed to make them.
Perhaps instead of a multiplex in the proposed Nautilus development where screens are not much larger than the average domestic TV, there should be a super large screen to exhibit these popular newcomers. We could do with a tall grotesque-shaped building near the pier showing IMAX films.
It would make Bournemouth the envy of the south coast.
